I think this is the first Ruth Ware book I’ve read although I have a vague recollection of the Cabin 10 one?   The premise is one I have wondered (while watching of course) could happen.   How long until someone on a reality show has a terrible accident filmed live or something this one from this book happens?

It’s been a long time since I read a middle grade book and this one was a winner.  So clever and tender.  Olivetti’s observations on human behavior were thoughtful and sometimes a gut punch.  Life affirming with a careful exploration of a family facing the Most Terrible Thing.    Highly recommend

I was never a “Deadliest Catch” fan but my word - this book felt like watching a live show.   I fell hard into the life of an Alaskan fisherman.  The author spares no detail.   Also never read a book where the “shitter” was almost itself a character.    The ending really surprised me - didn’t see it comment at all!

Just couldn’t care about any of these people.  The narration also threw me off
