Bad for the Boss by Talia Hibbert

I thoroughly enjoyed "A Girl Like Her" by Talia Hibbert so I was ready to dive deep into her other works and binge read the weekend away. "Bad for the Boss" is problematic from the jump. Everything about this book feels extremely rushed. There is no romantic or lustful buildup --- the sexual tension balloon is popped in like the first 10 pages of this book. Not a let down was the sex scenes , they were descriptively raw and animalistic. Also, I must be dense because I didn't even realize the main male character was Asian until about halfway thru the book??!! The whole mystery part of the book was ridiculous and reminded me of an early 90's Lifetime Movie of the week. Although disappointed I'll continue to buy and read the rest of Hibbert's books because I know theres potential there -- but save your money and skip this title.
