Did not finish book. Stopped at 38%.
I just… the pacing is weird. The random and frequent jumps in narrative is a lot and I think mysteries are just better with one narrative, so there’s more mystery. More wondering what’s going on, more for the MC to find out and put together for the reader.

Maybe I’ll return to this at some point, but it’s just not the right book for right now.

This is a very sweet romance at its core. Vana and Daromir are so adorable together, with lots of (at the time) platonic touching and tenderness towards the other. Vana and Daromir are great characters, and as always, Tavia Lark has included a great cast of side characters with strong personalities that I hope show up in the next books. (I mean, I know at least two of them show up in the next books.) The plot line of this is a lot of fun as well, and I just all over had a great time reading this, despite being trapped in a very small seat in a metal box in the sky.
