People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

it was a good, fun read right up until the last couple hours or so when Emily Henry decided to force in some random tension about Alex’s old lover that felt incredibly forced and difficult to read. the tension is so unbelievable that it feels ridiculous to read, and there is also too much emotional dialogue that just recycles itself using different vocabulary, without resolution.

the first 80% was a good 4 stars, but the final outburst dropped the rating immediately down to 3.
