I‘ve waited for long, and I wasn’t disappointed. This was everything for me. Dom and Alè are everything to me tbh. I felt so much while reading. I was about to cry, laughing my ass off and kicking my feet cuz dom was just too cute. He groveled and realized his mistakes like the man he is. I was so happy to see Josh n Jules, and the other couples. My fav book of Ana! READ IT!!

Diese Reihe war der Anfang meiner Liebe für deutsche New Adult Romance Bücher… und ich freue mich auf andere Bücher von Toni🫶 Juli und Alicia sind einfach so echt und boah… julian erinnert mich an costa aus tfa und deswegen kann ich nicht anders als ihn lieben.

okay this book was something. a page turner to say at least, I couldnt stop reading. The enemies to lovers.. THATS HATE. REAL HATE.

Controversial in my heart
If He Had Been With Me is a coming-of-age story about a girl named Autumn and her childhood bestfriend Finn and their highschool years while they grew apart at the age of 13. 
I started reading this book after it was on my tbr for half a year and i dont really know how to feel about it. The first chapter was written so confusingly, i didn’t really get what it was for. As for myself, I didn’t really like the writing style, to me it felt so impersonal at some point like im reading a book written in 3rd person. Even though after I listened to the audio book for around 150 pages, reading felt easier and I finished it pretty fast. And the most off thing of this book is the pacing. Sometimes one chapter started with one year of highschool and in a few chapters they were already writing their finals? I do get why the pacing is the way it is, because the main characters didn’t talk to each other and it wasn’t practical to describe a year this long.

Jamie is such a dick. He’s so disgusting judging Autumn and wanting to fuck so desperately it got on my nerves. IM GLAD HE ACCEPTED IT WHEN SHE SAID NO. And the cheating on her… „you’re too depressed“ „you needed me too much“ well well Jamie, YOURE THE ONE NEEDING THEPAPY.

The characters were pretty unlikeable, and i think the writing was the reason i didn’t feel as attached to them. Autumns „weirdo“ friendgroup.. don’t even get me started. Lowkey hated all of them except Angie.. I liked Autumn, Finny and their mothers tho. Autumns and Finns miscommunication… god. just talk it out people.

the ending.. just as we get to a part of them actually communicating, finny is getting killed off. no words for this. deserved better.

The book wasn’t even this sad, only the ending really is. And the descriptions and the convos with Jamie BORED ME. I get the criticism on this. I wouldn’t say i dislike this nor i love it. It’s a middle thing. Even though im intrigued to read finnys pov of the story.
