I loved it so, so much. I was wondering if I would like the second book of this series as much as the first because both Cora and Oliver are so very different from Marigold and Tristan (speaking of, I loved their appearance and involvement), but I found myself utterly surprised. I loved their interactions and slow burn romance. Oliver grew so much as a character and it was amazing to see a Cora more bold and freed.
I hope there will be more.

I fell in love with the characters, their chemistry, their bickering, their willingness to talk, to communicate when was necessary. It was exactly what I needed.

The characters are so dull, the story heavy and boring. I just can't.

This is a beautiful but heart wrenching story of fated love. We have great world building and deep, complex characters.
I loved the chemistry between Saya and Andreas, noticeable from the very first moment the crossed paths in the book.
I have to admit that the first 42 pages were a bit heavy, but necessary to understand how things worked and not get lost deeper in the story.
I don't have more to say than: It is so well written it was a pleasure to read it, to learn about and with the characters how the story evolved.
Thank you NetGalley, River Grove Books and Alessandro Candotti for providing this book in exchange of an honest review.

This book really makes you think and also leaves your mind blank.
It is an unpleasant book. It has less than 200 pages, with three long chapters describing how our main character (the author of the story) narrates what little she knows and remembers.
You go along with the main character, asking questions, forming theories but the thing is, and we realise this with the main character: why does it care?
The thing is, we get to know how important is humanity as a quality and the will it gives us to live.

I decided to read the web novel because I'm also reading the manhwa and saw some comments saying how different is the ending of the manhwa from the ending on the novel and yes, I can see the difference now. I like it tho, it gives Edith two different chances at happiness.
