I was not prepared for how dark and jarring this book would be. I thought it would be a collection of emotional short stories and they were emotional but just not in the way that I expected.

I’m a super fan of the Stephanie Plum series and often wondered if Janet had some sort of secret formula she used to crank out these books so fast so I decided to pick this one up. Her explanation of plot and outlining story structure is very helpful but just note that the book is pretty outdated now. The main themes on writing are definitely still relevant but it mentions dial up Internet. Overall a useful quick read though!
