I still can't appreciate some of the humour in this book even though this book is supposed to be funny.

This book is similar to "The Life of the Buddha" by the late Bhante Nanamoli. It tried to paint the biography, as opposed to hagiography, of the Buddha from the Sutta and Vinaya. What make this book more interesting is that Bhante S. Dhammika's scholarship and his investigation into the places and the culture of the time.
