This book was so cozy, and I am obsessed with it! It is one of those that will sit with me for a few days. It was so well done from beginning to end. I think it’s the first friends to lovers I’ve ever read, and it might be my new favorite trope! The characters relationship was beautiful, sort of a love at first sight to best friends, but we can’t become more than friends kind of thing.

The FMC is strong and witty and wants to be able to take care of herself. She’s also into some real kinky shit 😂 The MMC is a shadow daddy, and that’s all you need to know really until you read it! 😂

The author does a great job of weaving the central story in between all the relationship stuff. It’s just enough to make you crave the rest.

Super random request: I would love to see a map of Sophrosyne!

Also a little side note for the author, I don’t usually read the acknowledgements, but yours had me teary eyed over here 😩❤️ I can see how much authors give to get their work out there in the world. I wish the best for this book, and all of your others to come!

Another great book by Mister Kristoff! I am very late to the party, but I enjoy every character that this author creates. The darkling aspect was awesome! I was really intrigued by this idea, and it did not disappoint. If you like assassins and weird ass dark shadow magic, you would enjoy this series. I will be continuing it!

This book was hard to get thru. It had some good points and maybe one likeable character. The main character was annoying. So it wasn’t him.

I LOVED this book! I loved all of the characters! For those readers that are character driven, you will probably like this one. It has elemental magic and dragons. Romantasy with a good amount of spice for a first book in a series. The writing is so beautiful! Sarah really makes you feel for the characters as if they are your friends/family. The story is so different, and the mysteries that are unfolding are so interesting. It kept me sucked in even though you can pretty much guess where it’s going. I am really looking forward to seeing where Raeve’s story goes.
I soaked up every word, and I cannot wait for the rest of this series!

For the next books I really hope to see more dragon action, and I hope there are more gory assassins scenes 😂

Couple random things I loved..
The glossary in the front! Every book needs to have one just like this. It even had pronunciations of the character names ❤️ if the author reads this, thank you! Also trigger warnings included at the back of the book.
And the structure of the book with the diary entries. It was all just great!
