mc was too much of a teenage boy for me. which is testament to how well hes written as a teen ig. theres a lot in the story i wish i could dig into but getting thru his internal monolog to get to just didnt seem worth the effort

i want to reread. mostly because this is another book i want to sit with and take thoroug notes. the themes of cycles and familial abuse are interesting, and the interactions between the mc and the odd forest shes lost in are engaging.
