Calling all Criminal Minds fans and anyone in need of an exceptional palate cleanser! This book is a must-read for you.
Big City “Cowboy” moves to a small town in the USA to start over after a life-altering event. Then one day, a situation circles back and begins to bite him in the ass. There’s no way the universe would play such a horrible joke on him. Follow former NYC homicide detective Thomas Austin and other law enforcement as they unravel their town's newest mystery.

So, I'm about 63% through this audiobook and I've hit a point where I really don't care about finding out who the killer is. The story has gotten way too long and repetitive, and the plot just isn't gripping or original. It's the same old story of a kid disappearing and a creepy house with some supernatural stuff thrown in.
This is my first time reading a book by Riley Sager, and honestly, I don't know if I'll be picking up another one. This one just didn't do it for me.

When Estelle “Essie” Johnson heard, “Please call me Godmother. All my artists do,” little did she know that it would change her life forever.
Moving from her rural hometown in South Carolina to the bustling city of New York, all Estelle wanted to do was paint. Little did she know that she would fall into a web of deceit that would leave her running for her life.
I’m all about mystery and suspense. Add in some Black Southern culture, and I’m be hooked. This book has dual timelines, which some readers don’t prefer, but it was necessary for this particular story. I finished this book in a day and a half and then passed it on to my daughter. It was that good. I look forward to reading more of @shellystrattonbooks work. Thank you to @cocoachapters for this gifted copy.
