It had been long enough and consistent enough that they’d gone past all boundaries. If she needed him, he’d be there instantly, no questions asked, and he knew she’d do the same.

Beautiful and bizarre and incredible. Have yet to read a Patrick Ness novel that I don’t love. Very quick read, but an absolutely stunning one

Raising his eyes to look directly into Linus’s face was maybe the scariest thing he’d had to do all day long, but it was only the free-falling terror that always accompanied hope.

i’m just shattered and stunned by this. the beauty, the depth, the anger of it all. i can’t believe i hadn’t read this sooner

I am afraid of what he might do in his quest for vengeance. And I am afraid that he is right.

I fear the coloured world on my neutral body

no, i don't really know what happened in this novel.
yes, i loved it. 
it was ridiculously beautiful writing, it made some scathing commentary, it was so invested in the characters and had not a single piece of coherent plot
