i think this was a good novella, but from my personal perspective it felt slightly lost, i don't think i completely understood what was going on the entire time, and the plot wasn't entirely my thing. maybe that's my mistake as i'm not really a horror reader, but i thought i'd give it a try anyway.

it's not a bad book at all, just lacked a bit of something for me, and the lack of definitiveness isn't my taste. i wanted to enjoy it a lot, but it was a struggle for me to start reading and i think that impacted the rest of my experience overall.

i can however, see the appeal, and if you enjoy horror, especially around religion and the devil, this would definitely be for you.

and oh i loved this so bad!! even more than unsteady i have to admit, i am a SUCKER for the tutor and tutee trope. ro and matt are just soulmates honestly, and their slow burn meant like everything to me!!! the depth and development throughout the book was really well written in my opinion, and it's always amazing to have representation, as an adhd person myself.

i don't read romance that often, because i like to leave it as a little treat sometimes, and this was more than a little treat! i managed to read it in 2 days which is impressive for me as i'm usually a chronic procrastinator, but i couldn't put it down because i was enjoying it so much, and needed to know what was going to happen next.

such a cute book, and i know ive said it already but god i love ro and matt sooooo much, they're the sweetest. can't wait to see what peyton has for us next in the undone universe, i know whatever it is, i'll be reading it!!
