The Demon's Queen by Katee Robert

Idk about the reasoning behind their third-act breakup, but can't lie, the angst still got to me. Also I read Ramanu's book and this whole time I had pictured Lenora as Black but I guess she's not??

I love that Eve got her own contract but I don't love that she was the one who summoned Azazel rather than him going after her instead of being a sad sack.

Also not a fan of the "Daddy/baby girl" but that's personal taste. I could probably deal with just "baby" but something about "baby girl" specifically gives me the ick.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
I didn't like the writing and the story wasn't compelling enough for me to keep going

I don't like "Groomer" but I do like that they at least acknowledge 22 is a CHILD

I appreciate that these CNC stories all kind of follow the same pattern where it's enthusiastically consented for at the end. Lots of talk about babies though

I was hoping they'd end up getting Tom killed, but I guess his life getting ruined will also suffice. I think Royal was my least favorite but he did grow on me.

I didn't love the name Dreamer (though I liked the Daydreamer thing), but I'm pretty eh on Toy too (Toy is pretty cunty though, ngl)

I'm mostly glad that she got out of that compound okay. I figured she would with the low amount of pages left, but you never know!!!

As much as I love drawn out angst, I do like it when the characters come together relatively quickly once whatever miscommunication was resolved. Tbh I love and hate the miscommunication trope which is why I'm always both happy and a smidge disappointed when it isn't drawn out.

I love Ray, he seems like such a lovely man and I'm glad Hannah has someone like that in her corner.

It was a dense read, but prison reform and abolishment has always been something I have mixed feelings regarding and I wanted to further educate myself.

I hope the medical person who said female inmates don't mind excessive pelvic exams "because they're missing male touch" is dead.
