While I enjoyed the book, it took far too long for things to actually begin happening. I'm not huge on political intrigue and would've enjoy a bit more action earlier in the book. Waiting over 500 pages for things to start heating up dragged on forever. It moved too slowly for my taste. I wanted to read the series before I watched it, but I may have to give up on that.
