A challenging read for anyone and especially muslims. The book will stretch your mind in many ways and test your limits of tolerance. The author is extremely aware of the content in an almost chiding way and he knows that it will make it difficult for people to read. There is a lot about Islam, tolerance, race, gender, drugs, fiction and writing here. However, putting the content itself aside, I do think some of the chapters were incredibly long and winding to the point where I could safely skip a few paragraphs and still be fine — the author knows what he’s doing.
