This book was absolutely phenomenal. I could not put it down--I finished it in less than a day on my camping trip this past weekend. The absurdity of this mystery just kept pulling me in, and every time I think I had it figured out, I was absolutely shocked to discover a new detail. I literally did not expect the ending until the ending happened and I am usually great at figuring out mysteries first.

I found myself struggling to like the main character, Quincy. I'm not sure if she was even meant to be likable. I did, however, love the male characters in this story. Jeff and Coop were great to read about and always had something interesting to say.

If you like thrillers, mysteries, or like being so far thrown off your chair that you're not even sitting on the edge of it anymore, then you HAVE to read this. It's a clear 5/5 stars for me!

When I was about half of the way through this book I actually was angry that I had to go to work and not finish it right then. Highly suspenseful!

I've read three other books by Sager and loved them. I often describe his mysteries as Scooby Doo-esque novels for adults. This one was a little darker and a little sexier than the others...or maybe it just felt that way because I gave it to my 13-year-old daughter to read first and then spent my read cringing.

Final Girls felt like a debut in the pacing. The first two-thirds were a slow build but the last third was thrilling. Also, some of the dialogue and characterizations were pretty basic. But Sager's ability to write a decent mystery is consistent and I found myself constantly questioning who I could trust.

Not my favorite Sager, but not terrible.

Sad to say Final Girls was a snooze fest and the pay-off was not worth it in my opinion.

This was definitely a page turner and there were so many twists that I had only figured out one small part before the end when it is revealed! Definitely recommend this one!
