Oliver and Maren’s story is finally here and this fake marriage romance is filled with emotion, sweet moments, chemistry and all the feels! Oliver and Maren are perfect for each other. They are both caring, loving and they both really care for their families. This is the last installment of the Willow Creek Valley series and it is a great end to this small town family series. Corinne is a queen when it comes to small town series, she creates such great characters for readers to connect to. Excited to see what Corinne has coming for us next

I absolutely love Oliver and Maren. Their story was sweet, steamy and super emotional.

Oliver has given up on love and relationships after being hurt twice in the past. Yet, when Maren asks him for a favor he agrees. It isn’t real, it isn’t forever, there are new feelings so everything will be fine. Maren just wants to make her father happy, she wants him to know that she will be okay and give him the dream of seeing her get married, even if it is fake.

I loved Oliver and Maren’s chemistry. Yes, they knew each other from college and that is where they initially met, but neither were extremely close. It felt like they were meant for each other. That everything in their pasts happened to bring them together, even if things were done slightly backwards.

I thought I would make it through this book without shedding a tear…but boy was I wrong. I balled my eyes out multiple times and a lot of hit really hit home for me personally. This story was full of ups and downs when it came to both Oliver and Maren, their relationship and their lives.

If you’re looking for a small town, fake relationship, emotional romance this is one to read.

The entire Willow Creek Valley series will put your emotions through the wringer however this book, A Chance For Us, was definitely the most heartbreaking.

For someone who is a complete planner from A to Z when Maren makes the spontaneous request to have Oliver marry her it throws everyone - including herself. Oliver, being the amazing man that he is, goes along with every crazy detail. The reasons behind it are beautiful and, like I said above, will pull at all your heartstrings. Their evolvement from distant friends to getting to know one another again to lovers all while dealing with everything around them is an amazing story. What an ending to an incredible series!

Okay, where do I start with this review? I held off on writing it because people would love this book. However, there may be people that find the storyline somewhat overdone. I thought the third act issue was not needed and felt that the resolution was so quick that it felt like trauma for no reason. I also felt like something was missing with Maren and Oliver's connection. I did love the fake marriage aspect and the reasons behind it, but I was left wanting more when some of Corinne's other characters made an appearance.

A Chance for Us follows Maren and Oliver. Maren’s father is dying, and when her fiancé leaves her a week before the wedding, she asks her old college friend, Oliver, to stand in and fake marry her so that her dad can walk her down the aisle. But their feelings quickly become everything but fake, and I loved seeing them realize they wanted more with each other!

I love friends-to-lovers and marriage of convenience so I ate this one up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)

ARC REVIEW

I’ve only read 2 of the Willow Creek Valley books but this one was by far my favourite. I don’t know what it is about a fake relationship/marriage just makes me love the story that much more.
This couple together were amazing and you could feel the chemistry from the very first time being together again.
Oliver is such a good guy, sweet, caring but protective of his heart because of past heartache.
Maren was interesting and she was exactly what Oliver needed in his life. They complimented each other.
The storyline had me just wanting to put real life to the side so I could sit and read all day. There’s a plot twist that we don’t see coming.
There were parts of this book that had me crying from the heartbreaking scenes.
Corinne Michaels sure does know how to make us feel all the feelings.
I think I need to go back now and read the other books in the series.

I just loved this one, a little bit rushed on the end, but it doesn't matter. Great character development, the storyline was good, with some emotional stuff going on, that made me cry for a few more minutes.

After this book I'm curious about the characters that appeared here, but are from the other series, so I guess I will go a little backward.

A Chance for Us is the fourth book in Corinne Michaels Willow Creek Valley series

CW: cancer, parent with cancer, hospice, death of a parent (past and present)

I was looking forward to Oliver's story and journey. Maren and Ollie were friends in college when he was dating her best friend. She calls him to book his family's resort for her wedding, only to find out that she's going to end up without a groom. She lucks out that her ex was also named Oliver and she asks Ollie to step in and pretend to marry her. He hesitates, but ultimately agrees when he finds out why this wedding, real or fake, is so important to Maren. But as they keep up the ruse, they start to realize that they might not want this relationship to be fake.

As always, I was left feeling all the emotions I usually do when reading Corinne's work. Maren was someone that was doing her best to be strong. Ollie was someone that was burned by love and trying to convince himself that he didn't need it. I love this family and the support that they have for each other. This was a real and chemistry-filled book. I'm sad to see this series go, but I loved how it ended.
