Reading this book wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the spicy scenes. However, some things were overlooked and needed to change or match up to the storyline. This was a good read.

From « It was good, and she hated that it was good, and something about that made me very, very happy. » to « I knew two conflicted truths: I wanted Avery, and I wasn’t the kind who settled down. » to « I miss you too, Adams. »

✅ fake dating, fake engagement
✅ bachelor falls in love with miss strong independant woman
✅ good banter, made me cackle
✅ charming small town
⛔️ again with the « i want to put a baby in her? » seriously? Y’all need to chill down with the pregnancy k*nk, babies are not even affordable
⛔️ sloppy and lazy writing, she copies herself from one book to another (‘heart, meet sledgehammer’, ‘i have morning breath, don’t care’) WORD FOR WORD sentences between books

A cute palate cleanser type of book. This is why I personally don’t go for rom-coms for the simple fact that things moves way too fast for my liking. What do you mean you dislike each other, decide to fake date, which then turns into a proposal and marriage within the span of two months??? There are definitely many many parts where I was thinking “this will not work in the real world”.  But then again, this is a work of fiction.
I enjoyed it enough to have read the whole thing (minus the sex scenes and the epilogue), but it definitely didn’t wow me.
