Idk how I really feel about the book. The middle end gets weird and obviously didn’t except some of it. But also at the end it’s very much the movie Dark Water (2002 or 2005 depending on the version) with how it ends

If there was a word to describe this book, it would be "concepts!" There sure were a lot of them here. The characters were realistic, which is what saved this book in my opinion. It read like a NoSleep story on Reddit--which isn't necessarily an insult, since I unabashedly love a lot of stories on NoSleep, some of which stayed with me long after I read them. It seemed to meander. I liked the exploration of motherhood and flawed characters, but I truly felt like I was trudging through this book to get to the end rather than excitement over the unfurling mystery
