I don't always enjoy romances, and often find them too cheesy. I was very skeptical of this one when the opening scene/preface was so dumb and it quickly became obvious who the mysterious man in the bathroom with Olive was. However, I really enjoyed the academia backdrop, as a woman in STEM myself. I also enjoyed the characters (except for Anh who was way overbearing and annoying despite the praise Olive gave her). I felt that I could relate to a lot of Olive's anxieties and awkwardness. And then Adam was your classic grumpy to sunshine character. I also loved his excuse for his "grumpiness" because it felt realistic that he wanted future science to be in the best hands, instead of the usual chip on the shoulder. I also didn't mind the naughty scene for once! It felt realistic and I'm glad there was only one. It was all that was needed. Overall would recommend to anyone who likes romance.

This is my first time reading a romance centered novel. It has several cringe moments but still cute. However, I was not informed about a 20 paged smut ???? cjwbxuw it did not beat the 'it-feels-like-I'm-reading-a-wattpad-story' allegations.

I stand by my original comment "I hate how much I am enjoying this book". At one point I noticed my SO laughing at me because I was sitting grinning at the book like a goddamned fool. Stupid book, making me feel feelings. It had all the romance tropes I've ever heard of. Fake dating, forgotten PJ's, grumpy sunshine, you name it it's in here - and it was so much fun!

*Disclaimer* this is my first purely romance book I think I have ever read.

4 stars, and a very late review

The Love Hypothesis is amazing!! Our main character Olive is charming and the writing style of the book is very very good. The plot of the book can easily be guessed but still the experience was amazing! It's like either you REALLY love this book or really dont like it. Because the Main male lead, Adam, in this book is the Professor is the uni in which Olive studies. Yeah uncomfortable lol. But it was very well written an you almost dont even notice the age difference! I love almost all the characters an it's the first contemporary book I see a villain in lol. It's a strangers to friens to lovers plus a fake dating trope an is really well done. I'm really sorry that I cant write a longer review about this right now because it deserves it. Thanks to my friend for bringing my attention to this book by asking for it. An thanks to Ali Hazelwood for writing this masterpiece, an expierience I'd never forget.
