What a great ending to an amazing series. Benella has been through so much through this series and I do not blame her for all the doubts that she had about Alec. I'm so glad he continued to be a man Benella would need. He didn't not loose what he learned before the curse was lifted and he did everything he could to protect her. This such a good love story and I'm so sad that it is over. I'm glad Benella and Alec got the happy ending they deserved.

The third installment to the Beastly Tales takes place after the beast has been freed of his curse, but with a threat to return to his former enchantment if he starts to relapse. The only person who came help him is Benella, however she is still hurt from her last encounter with the beast turned man.

I was glued to the pages of all three installments, but this one, while very enjoyable, was not the same. I enjoyed the bantering and tension from the previous book, but it lacked here. Benella is hurt from what happened emotionally and that hinders her ability to trust, which is understandable, but I felt like it was beating a dead horse. I wish there was more exchanges between her and Alec where she was giving him a chance to learn who he is instead of keeping him at arms length. I liked how everything was resolved, but I would have preferred a little more time to get to know this changed character more.

Devastation is the final book in the Beastly Tales series, and definitely a difficult time in Benella's story.

The Beast's curse has been lifted, but his struggles are not over. Rose is still testing him, throwing trials his way over and over. Benella is distraught. Unsure how to cope with the trauma she has endured, and constantly being turned away by her sisters and villagers for circumstances she couldn't control, Benella is lost. She misses her beast and can't see him in the Lord he has become. She has changed, in her soul she knows she is different, darker after what has happened and she just isn't sure how to cope.

Devastation is a book about overcoming struggles are finding ways to move on. Benella must find a way to heal as she struggles to recover her love for a man, a beast, she can no longer understand and feel close to.

This book, this entire series, is a beautiful journey that I loved watching Benella undertake. Beauty and the Beast is completely reimagined in this amazing series that I can't wait to read again!

I am reviewing this from my own kindle copy.

Well done! Loved it. I stayed awake late to finish this book because I was so engrossed I couldn't put it down. Benella was an amazing character, and this was an amazing retelling of Beauty and the beast. Benella was almost raped at the end of deceit but that wasn't the biggest betrayal. In this part the new leige lord is back and starting his estate. Unable to find work, Benella follows her father and is quickly back into the clutches of the beast in his man form. Five stars of entertainment fun. Amazingly writing. I loved every minute of it!

It's done... It's over... I finished it...
I don't remember how or why I got sucked in, but I'm glad it's done. Was I happy with the ending? Sort of, I guess. Do I like any of the characters? Only a couple - and they're not the main ones. Did I find the last book a bit silly given everything that's taken place leading up to it? Sure did.

Do I still think this book is 2.5-stars? Sure do.

I still have one question..

Who are the other two? I think it's off that it would've been her sister's, given that at the time of this ominous warning Bryn had just had a set down and Blye wasn't even invited to the wedding!
You know what I'll assume it was them until a spin-off is released with information that satisfies me. M. J. Haag you've gained a new reader but use your cliffhangers wisely.

I didn't want it to end

I mean, did it have to end? I feel like it could have been on-going. Okay, but honestly this series was AMAZING!!!! From beginning to end. I was thoroughly satisfied with this. Thank you M.J. HAAĢ!
