There's a lot of preening and angsty stuff in here, but there are a few wonderfully original lines as well.

I loved the individual poems, but couldn't get into Duino Elegies or The Sonnets to Orpheus. I think I will need to revisit them another time.

Having the German and English side by side was delightful. I'm using Duolingo to learn German so I could pick up a few words in the German text and the read the English on the next page.
