Meh! This book was good until the goddamn twist! Ugh. All the covid stuff is so depressing, but the Galapagos was enough to keep me hanging on. The ending made sense, I’m glad she didn’t stay with him bc he was a jerk.

This book took me a bit to get into. The first couple of chapters I thought there was no way I’d be able to finish it. I had recommended it to my book club, then decided to tell them to shelf it because I could NOT get into it. Of course, right after we made the decision to choose another book, I could NOT put this one down. Holy cow. What a great story of 2020. Seriously. I won’t ruin anything for you, but if you’re struggling to get going - do not stop. you want to finish this one.

I loved the research she conducted to write this, which made the story so real.

My rating is likely skewed by the fact that I was not ready to read a book set during the pandemic. It just didn't let me escape reality. This was also not my favorite Jodi Picoult book. The main character was kind of annoying. There is a very interesting twist that I did not see coming, though.

Really wasn’t enjoying the plot device and the characters got to a point where I couldn’t deal with them anymore.
