Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier by Mark Frost

If you came to this book for answers to the mysteries of Twin Peaks: The Return, you'll find slim pickings. This is basically a recap of the stories of most of the show's major characters, with some new information about what happened between seasons and (in a couple of minor exceptions) after The Return. The one major revelation comes right at the end and is basically a confirmation of a widely-held fan theory.

It's an entertaining enough read, though short. It has a problem right off the bat when an autopsy report supposedly written by Albert Rosenfield in 1989 contains anachronistic references to trigger warnings and to kick-starting a craft brewery, which is quite sloppy from a writer known for his historical fiction.

Explained some things more clearly from season 3 of TP especially since I watched it so scattered over little under a year with my mom

But it’s basically a summary of what happens to the characters who lived in twin peaks during season 3, still loved it though

This was a nice addendum to the previous book and to The Return as a whole. It gives some nice closure to some of the plot lines of the original that The Return didn't address at all (notably Donna and the Haywards, Annie, and filling in some of the blanks in Audrey's life). While I think it still leaves a lot of the Return up to the reader/viewer's interpretation, I think the biggest flaw of the book is that it does go a bit too far in providing answers to questions about the series that I believe are best left unaddressed. Still, that's not a huge deal, especially since I don't believe it's meant to be canon anyways. It's well-written, and the point-of-view actually made me appreciate Tammy more as a character, so it gets 4 stars from me.
