I have loved every book of Nikita Gill's I have read and this collection is no different. Each poem was raw and emotional, and perfectly summed up how hard the last year has been for everyone in the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. I felt seen in the poems and I think I will revisit them over and over again.

Strangely, when I write my thoughts down for poetry I have less words than I do for 300 page books. I originally bought this book because I saw excerpts of Nikita Gill’s poetry online and when I saw this book I immediately wanted to buy it and after reading it all I can say is that it was a great decision.
This book not only talks about having, finding and losing hope through the pandemic but also about the things we take for granted because we have never been in a situation like this. She captures all the feelings that someone might have during a time like this perfectly. Nikita Gill manages to make human existence sound like something otherworldly easily.

Absolutely LOVE Nikita Gill and this gorgeous collection of poetry. After 2020 And the beginning of 2021 being so challenging, a book of hope is what we all need. HIGHLY recommend!

3.5/5. I didn’t really get into it until halfway. Her poems are nice, though.
