This is the seventh in the Patrik Hedstrom series and it is still as good as all those that came before it. Not only are we pulled into the world of domestic violence but also into the tragedy that hit Erica's family at the end of the last book. This is an emotion fuelled story that has a number of twists, some you see coming, some that sneak up on you from the shadows in the corner. The characters are once again superbly written, my only critique is the huge emphasis this story puts on family and the importance of family relationships which for me came across a little judgmental and preachy at times (although that could just be the translation, or even just the way my mind works!). Other than that this is a great read and a superb story that adds to a brilliant series.

I must first disclose that I have randomly found myself with an obsession for anything Scandinavian...t.v. shows, movies....and books. (Thank you Netflix and Girl with a Dragon Tattoo)....So, when my sister brought this book back from her Mediterranean cruise, I placed my hands on it and yelled "MINE".

This book is just a mystery....but I find that because it is NOT American and it is not as easy to figure out....and the author can (does) ignore ALL American mystery writing rules. Lovely. The story is interesting...(though there were a couple of time when I was sick of being left in the dark because the character already knew the answers).

The story is about a man who ends up dead after visiting his high school girlfriend. There are ghosts and boats....and cocaine, oh my. A spa, two sisters.....and a story that is NEVER finished (a tad annoying).

Read if you like mysteries (though this is better than Drug Store junk food)....or if you find yourself with the same malady that I suffer from.

Tipo, state cercando di capire com'era Matts? E interrogare lui no, eh?
No tanto per sapere eh.
