I absolutely LOVE Alex & Delaney. Once again my all of my heart strings were pulled during their story. As always the banter between them was SO good, this time of course filled with a bit of anger as in book one, they were fighting. Now as they realize they are going to have to work together not only to survive the avalanche but one another as well. I was on the edge of my seat reading this the whole time, the way it was written almost made you feel like you were there right along with them. It was also so nice to see the development of their feelings change, and watch them open up to one another, trust and go through all of the emotions that go with it..and dare I say fall in love? No matter what they did not give up on one another. This is one duet that will definitely be a forever favorite of mine.

This is the first book of the Badger Creek Duet #1 which starts with Alex and Delaney's story. I enjoyed reading this book, the push and pull with Alex and Delaney made this book and the chemistry that was there...Delaney, I love her. I just love how she knows what she deserves and won't settle for less. The ending was too much for me and I was glad that I was able to read it right after instead of having to wait.

Hate Me, book 1 left us with an epic cliffhanger and now in book 2 we get to see what happens next. Of course there is still so much chemistry between Alex and Delaney and the push and pull is still there. I was hoping with being stuck in a cabin until help arrived it would push them to connect more on a depper level and I wasn't disappointed. This book kept me on my toes and flipping the pages as fast as I could because I couldn't put it down.

Alex and Delaney connected from the moment they met. However, both experienced a small surprise. A hilarious banter ensued between the two and they really knew how to annoy each other. But besides the antics and button-pushing, there are also some cute moments between the two that I really loved. Especially with Alex. He has an arrogant side, but he is also very caring and protective. He feels like Alex has things to hide and not enough details, but that goes for Delaney too, so it will be interesting to see how she develops in that regard. I'm looking forward to it.

I honestly feel bad for Delaney cause all she wanted was to move out her town but life dragged her right back to the one place she wanted to leave, not to mention her trust issues because of... you guessed it MEN.

Hate Me Not is the second book in the Badger Creek Series.

This book picks up right where the first book left off. I wasn't a fan of the first book, but this second book was soo much better! The chemistry between Delaney and Alex is HOT. Their relationship evolved soo much and it's exactly what this series needed to end their story.

The only thing I was wanting more was the spice. The entire book it's the two of them. Claire Raye is a new to me author, so maybe spicy-spicy scenes are not their cup of tea, but for me, it would have elevated a little since there was not much for them to do.

Overall, I enjoyed this book!

Rating: 4/5
Spice: 2/5
Not a standalone, workplace romance

After how book one, Hate Me, ended I was DYING to know what was going to happen next and this book….I had anxiety after reading the first chapter.

The banter, the push and pull, the tension. All of it was hot. That alone could have easily generated enough heat to keep Alex and Delaney warm! I loved seeing their relationship progress from enemies to friends to more throughout their time together. Despite being in a pretty horrible situation together I think it was exactly what they need to work out everything.

At one point I was worried this story wasn’t going to end how I expected it to, but it is completely worth it in the end and it even made me a little bit emotional. There are also some surprise visitors that pop up and I loved that!

I can’t wait to return to Badger Creek with the next duet!

If you’re looking for a forced proximity, enemies to lovers romance this is one to check out…after reading book one!
