If you are looking for a light introduction to dark romance, with a strong badass FMC and a crazy possessive MMC, give this one a go. It will not disappoint, promise

The opening few chapters had me strapping in for a ride. It had everything that I love. It was dark. It had an edgy, damaged heroine. It had a dark and dangerous hero. It was spicy.

Then it was like someone snubbed the flame out. The heroine became a flat simpering heroine. The plot became repetitive and lost the pace. Even the spice seemed off, the words were all there, but it was giving me zero feels.

I didn't want to stop, but I wasn't enjoying it either. I'm not sure I'd go back in for another in the series.

great!

Premise: actually pretty interesting! You don’t find out straightaway either so it’s pretty nice.
Prose: reads like an action movie! Very fast paced, very enjoyable.
Romance: without spoiling, it was refreshing to see the crux and resolution of their problems.
Smut: yum (although a feature of the genre, why does everything have to be rough and intense)
Emotions: I got invested very quickly
Extra: nice that you get his and her POVs.

First of all, I have got to say it what a sexy cover it is just so hot. I was hooked with this book by the end of the first couple of chapters it had me on the edge of my seat and I did not want to put it down. A super book with a great plot fantastic complicated characters that will keep you reading right until the very last page. Was not anything I did not love about this one.

I read this as part of the Boxset. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started this series but I need I had to at least try it because the blurb had me very interested. Tons of suspense, secrets, and interesting characters. I liked the cat and mouse game between Sarah and Hunter, and how it was explained how he always found her.

My only real gripe was in regard to Torian. I wanted to understand who he was and who his organization was. Still, a great book.
