This is what should have been the end of the final book, and to see Ronan and Adam together made me so happy ugh <3 a lot better of an ending compared to The Raven King :)

Meeeeeh. Which is mainly because the short story is in Opal's POV, and let me just say that I do not like Opal and I do not like her inclusion into the story. I enjoyed each and every bit of Adam and Ronan's appearances, but they weren't as many as I would have wished. The short story was done well, but it's kind of fighting an uphill battle--if I don't like the POV character then it's kind of a wash, haha. At least she's not being treated like she's a small child. That would probably drive me up a wall even more. 3 stars.

This novella had me literally laughing out loud at how adorable and clueless little Opal is. She might be my new favorite. Looking forward to reading more in this universe.

It was cute and funny and definitely shows a glimpse of what happens between The Raven King and Call the Hawk Down. But I think the details that were important to the timeline could've just been added to CtHD. It kind of felt like a short fan fic in Opal's pov.
