Such a fantastic book. I was hooked from the outset. Such a great premise, there was everything you could want in a romance; humor, suspense, lust, love, and fabulous characters. Kylie Scott creates such a world, and spins such a tale it's as if you are part of the book. I loved the intense chemistry between Ed and Clem, they practically sizzle.
As always the writing is crisp, the storyline not far fetched, and relatable. The pace is perfect there is always something interesting happening. When you add in the secondary characters it just packs a punch. This story is told only in Clem's POV, which is fine, it is still an easy flow, she is the main focus of this book, so it works well. A definite read.

Following a vicious mugging, Clementine Jones awakens with no memory. In an attempt to learn about the person she was and the life she lived, Clem approaches her ex-boyfriend, Ed Larsen, only to learn that she broke off their relationship with no explanation. Ed is wary of trusting his heart to Clem once again, but cannot seem to walk away from her. Can Ed and Clem find their way back to each other?

To begin with, the amnesia trope is one of my favorites, and Scott handles it very well. It is wonderful to see Clem grow into the person she was meant to be without the memories of her past traumas influencing her personality and behavior. It is not that original Clem was unlikable per se, but rather that she allowed her doubts and insecurities to rule her life. She becomes a more open, trusting, and loving person in the aftermath of the attack.

Ed is a fantastic hero. His struggle to overcome his anger and heartache over "old" Clem's actions is portrayed very realistically, and it is very satisfying to see him learn to accept, trust and love the "new" Clem.

The minor suspense plot revolving around Clem's attack is the weakest part of the book as the culprit is obvious from the moment they are introduced.

Andi Ardnt's narration of the audiobook is excellent and she makes the characters and the story come alive.

All in all, this is a delightful read, and I will definitely continue with the series as well as read other Kylie Scott books.

Kylie Scott takes what could be a very heavy subject (heroine is attacked before the open of the book, and loses her memory permanently) and makes it into this sweet, funny tale of people figuring out who they are and who they can be together. It's a short listen that was feel-good and sexy (because Kylie Scott--though slow burn).

Really delightful and Arndt's narration is spot-on.

4.5 stars all the way!

I’m so happy to see this is only the 1st of the Larsen Brothers books! While I guessed at the ending early on, the story was good enough to have me doubting myself a couple different times. Great story with more fun to come in subsequent books!

2.5 rounded up
Fairly short and the characters were not evolved properly.
To me, this read like a first draft.
Stars down for Ed - flipping man. So he loved her like crazy and wanted to propose, but she dumped him and he got right back on track and within a month of their separation he was dating again?
And taking women to her favourite restaurant?
He was broken, he said... yeaah, I don't believe you, sweetheart.
What a dream man...
