As I had read the first Chronicles of Nick book, I wanted to know what the Dark Hunters series would be like.

I had met Kyrian in CoN #1 and like him a lot.

This book take place a few years after Infinity. Nick is definitely a character. Older and just as sarcastic.

Kyrian meets with Amanda Deveraux when he wakes up chained to her. A Daimon had mistaken her for her twin sister, the hunter.

It's a pretty typical love story with actiony sequences and angst.

The pantheon of Greek gods pop up like Dionysus and Artemis and they walk the dark side of the force most definitely.

3 stars

Wow....this book was great. I had only picked it up because I wanted to start the Dream Hunter series and I wanted to get some background knowledge on the world I was entering. I didn't expect to fall in love with everyone!

Kyrian was such a broken guy much need in love and he got it in spades from the wonderful Amanda. They were cute! I just, I can't form coherent thoughts about how damn cute they were. The writing was good and the side characters were awesome.

I'm so intrigued by Acheron because it seemed like he had a tough past and I love my tortured hero...but why the heck is his book like the 8th??????

The only reason this book isn't getting higher stars because it started with some serious insta-lust and I hate insta-anything and it still didn't really work even with them being soulmates.

Read my book review of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s book Night Pleasure from her Dark Hunter series. This is a paranormal romance with gods, vampires, witches, and immortals alike.

From my blog Auntie Spinelli Reads

I enjoyed this one more than I did Fantasy Lover, but it still doesn't quite make the favorites. Although it was a great read for paranormal romance lovers and I enjoyed it!

I think it's awesome when a series switches characters each book and still ties them all together. Julian talked much of Kyrian in the first book, so I felt like I kind of knew him already when he was introduced in this one. I also got to meet a family member of Grace's friend. Amanda was a square in a family of eccentrics - she didn't believe in all the magic mojo until Kyrian came along. Kyrian was okay, but I couldn't really feel anything for him. He's a Dark-Hunter, yet while he puts on that bad-boy facade, he wasn't all that bad. I like my lead males to be a bit asshattish and snide. (which is why I can't wait to read Acheron!!)

The outcome was still a bit predictable, but there was considerably more of a plot in this one with the danger of the creepy villain Desiderius. Plus you get a taste of the Dark-Hunter world and a little background. I love the sarcastic wit in this one...it had me giggling out loud. I can't wait to dive deeper into this series!

My favorite part of this one was meeting Nick and Acheron. I had a friend who absolutely adored this series, so I've already heard a lot about them. I've been wanting to read The Chronicles of Nick for ages!

Favorite quotes:
"Are you going to suck my blood?"
He arched a sardonic brow. "Do I look like a lawyer to you?"

"I hate when you commune with the dead in front of me."
"Are you the asshole who sent the 'I See Dead People' t-shirt to me?"

Favorite character: Nick!! I love him already. More please?
