Very fun read! Lots of twists I didn’t see coming , lots of interesting characterisation of Lily, that just kept getting deeper and deeper - as well as that of Monica. Never knew where it was going, or if I did, I was jerked in a different direction. Ending was 90% perfect, I was wondering how the real Issue would get confronted but I do enjoy how it wrapped up. Very fun read, lots of details about Lily that make you wonder about her as much as anyone in the book.

I had hoped to be able to rate this book higher. Though the first half held a nice intrigue with a plot twist early on and darker themes, the second half just became boring, predictable.

My biggest struggle with this book that the female characters were depicted as nothing more than sexualised objects, with all the male characters seeming to be obsessed with picturing naked - even the lead detective who was writing dirty limericks about the MFC! The fact that every character to seem only be motivated by sexual attraction in some form or another made all the characters feel too similar and boring and worse still, for the majority of the book provided  no real purpose to drive the story forward.

I may have enjoyed this book more had it stuck with the stronger plot theme of killing people who the MFC thought deserved to die to make the world better, rather than then flattening out to a dull cheater-revenge story - sideline with this undeveloped underlying storyline of the MFCs dad being prison which really didn't do anything to the plot either.

Whilst a rushed ending can be accepted, the depiction of the female characters really left me with a poor taste in my mouth and personally won't be rushing to read any more works by this author.

A man drinking at an airport bar meets a woman and they talk about killing his wife, she agrees to help. But why would she help him? Who is she? And will they go through with it?

While this is a twisty mystery thriller with multiple POVs, none of the main characters are particularly likable. And the men are quite misogynistic and obsessed with women and sex, it was like half the men's POVs were describing the woman's bodies sexually especially the breasts and how clothes fit them. I hope all men aren’t like these men on the inside! Even the women whose POVs you got weren't likable. Basically, all the MCs were trash human beings.

I only gave a high-ish rating because the overall plot was good even if the characters while detailed and complex, were unlikable, and the book had an overall misogyny to it.

Lemme start with this - I didn't know that there was a sequel to this when I started it, so the ending left me furious, haha.

This book made me so dang happy. Lots of perspective changes and plot twists, brilliant yet clumsy murder sequences, and a woman psychopath that is actually well written. The characters are flushed out and absolutely awful people, except for maybe poor Braggett.

I can't wait to read the sequel!

Unfortunately unsatisfying. I thought this was totally average.
It had a few moments that made me squeal from the suspense, but I felt like a loooot of it was pretty boring.
The best part: Lily's backstory chapters
The worst part: All the descriptions of driving!!! I found the names of the roads & which cardinal directions they were going to be confusing & long-winded, as someone who is already from New England but directionally-challenged, lol. I just found a lot of the scenic descriptions in general to be quite boring. :P

Picked this up because I was looking for a thriller I could finish in a single day (My Sister, The Serial Killer is one I recommend) but this one took me 4 days. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't think I'll be picking up the sequel.
