I am not getting used to Miss Drake's writing style. It is a bit confusing. I thought I was missing chapters or explanation between the important scenes. It seems Miss Drake does not dwell into giving reason or explanation between scenes. But those reasons or explanation is inserted into the dialog.

I do like Mark. He has this funny, sweet, vulnerable side of him. He has a traumatic past especially with his mom and his brother. I am glad he found friendship with Cole. The banter is fun and cute at some moments and boring at other moments. Mia is not well developed as Mark's equal. She is more damsel in distress.

I want to read more of Miss Drake's books. So I can familiar myself with her writing style.

I’m so pleased to have gotten to read Mark’s story! He was my favourite of the Blackstone team in the Broken trilogy, since he’s sweet, funny, and harbors a mysterious, dark past. We finally got to unearth his story in this book, and it was heartbreaking and made me love him even more. Mia was a relatable heroine, and it was refreshing to read about a normal woman falling in love in this type of dark romance.
While this book was told from both Mark and Mia’s points of view, we also got the occasional chapter from the perspective of a third character, who (no spoilers!) really added to the suspense plotline. There were several great twists and turns in the plot, and literally one twist had me shook because I did not see it coming! 5 stars.

Mark is the funniest

I loved the broken trilogy so I couldn't wait to read Mark Lopez story. He's the funniest always cracking jokes and brings to group together. After a mission leaves him with a gunshot wound he meets Mia a nurse at the hospital they get treated at. Their friendship blossoms but his past comes to bite him and she suffers for he's and her past which drives them apart. The underlying time for Keith leads to the next book which I can't wait to start. Great author great books

Major Mark Lopez works for Blackstone and when a mission goes horribly wrong he finds himself in a hospital in North Dakota. Mark overcame a rough past with the help of Abigail and Cole but now his past has come back and Mark doesn't know if it will ruin any chance he has of happiness.

Mia Harper has come to North Dakota for a second chance and after leaving an abusive relationship. Yet as Mark and Mia begin to get closer she seems to understand more about Mark's job than most people.

As Mark and Mia begin to get closer will their respective pasts cause them to lose each other and more than they ever anticipated?

This is another great book in the larger series and I am so excited for this particular series and a greater look into Blackstone.

I really liked Mark and his upbringing made sense to why he chose a career in the military as a way of escaping and beginning again to a certain degree. I liked that he followed Cole into the military as they had a super strong friendship after everything Cole's family did for Mark in the past.

Mia was a great character and through the book you slowly learn what she is on the run from and certain other things make sense once we get farther in the book. Initially I didn't really understand her relationship with Kenny but later things are revealed which then makes everything clear.

The stuff in Mark's past was heartbreaking but something definitely didn't sit right with me and I really didn't like Manuel. I hated how Manuel expected Mark to clean up his mess even though he was the younger one. At a certain tense point things are revealed and I was both surprised and not surprised at some of the things that were revealed but I was glad that Mark found peace.

I totally understood why Mark was so mad that Mia for what she kept from him as it was huge. I was sad for both of them as it was obvious how much they cared.

I was happy when Mark was given the all clear at the end of the book and he went and got Mia!!!

When I heard Mark was getting his own book I squealed loudly. Mark has been my favorite since the beginning of the Broken Trilogy and I always wanted more of him. He's funny, sweet, loving and just overall charming. So I was very much curious to see what would happen in this book.

Of course we get more of that side of Mark everyone sees and loves, but we also see this tortured side of him. His past still haunts him everyday and it's actually heartbreaking.

When he meets Mia, he does everything to charm her up. To have her, and I completely swooned with him. He's an "old school" romantic guy, everything he would tell her made me want to jump in the book and grab him. But his job would get in the way of him being able to be around her as much as he wanted.

Honor made me swoon, laugh & even get angry. I loved the fact that it seemed like he was living two lives at once (being with Mia & being part of the Blackstone team). What they had was romantic. Cute even. However I do wish they had more moments together. And, their relationship could have used a bit more buildup. Still, this was a sweet, enjoyable read filled with action.

This book was sooooooo good and everything that I expected to be. I read Broken trilogy and fell in love with Mark. He is the kind of guy that loves unconditionally and will give everything to make the woman in his life happy. I think the thing I love most about him is that after all he went through, he found a way to be happy...he is the funny guy in the group, the one that is impossible to not be happy when he is around, but mostly he is a true friend. The kind of friend that will take a bullet for you, that is there for you in any situation, bad or good....the one that if needed, will punch you in the face the make you see reason...he is just amazing. Jodi Drake did an amazing job with his story and I can't wait for her next book. Add Honor to your TBR, but try to read the Broken trilogy first, you won't regret. If you are the kind of person who loves a good book, well written and a beautiful, honest love story, this book is for you. Definitely one of my favorites and a must read...ENJOY

Mark has always had a special place in my heart. But oh my stars, he steals it even more in this one. I loved the magnetic pull that him and Mia had as they navigate through trying to build a relationship. When secrets come to light, they hurt but they do not falter. I think that is what make me love this story so much. Snag this one up because you are in for a wild ride!

Putting it aside for a while. 48% in and I am cannot get into the story. Loved the Broken-trilogy, but am a bit bored with this one.

Edit February 8: I have decided to let this one go. I loved Mark in the Broken-trilogy, but I also like romance and it was missing here. It seemed Mark was constantly on missions, away for weeks, and it seemed there was no real connection with Mia.
