Not sure what to say, where to start. This is silly book with a so-called twist. The characters are all a drag and stereotypical. So many cliches. I’m not exactly sure why I finished it. I am not sure why so many people gave it high praise. It left me annoyed.

The ending was worth the four star rating. When absent minded moms actually turn out to be witty and manipulative is a much better take on what a stay at home mom could be. And to include illegal drugs in the whole story makes it that much more high risk, not too bad!

Just didn’t grab me. I wasn’t interested in any of the characters and there was no plot.

A true definition of a page-turner! I had no idea what was going to happen next, and I was definitely shocked by the direction the story took.

Claire is a musician whose former band became famous without her. She takes a gig singing nursery rhymes for a playgroup, and her life takes a couple of sharp lefts from there!

This book was fast-paced and quite enjoyable. I liked reading the perspectives of Claire, Amara, and Whitney, even though they were each frustrating in their own way.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance copy.

This was a fun distraction for the first week of remote learning. If you're a new mom or remember being a new mom, you will like this story about a mommy playgroup in NYC. Also, this is PRE-COVID so don't get your panties in a bunch about the non-social distancing, okay?

I had too high of expectations for the book. It fell too flat for me. The “juicy gossip” wasn’t enough to keep me entertained. Means Girls for Moms?

I found the characters, especially the moms from the playgroup, to be interesting. They each brought personality, and hilarity, to the story. The drama and secrets and cattiness between the women gave the book a reality-tv-like vibe. It was a quick, fun book for the first 2/3.

I didn't care very much for the ending. It felt like more of a thriller ending than I was expecting. I was more interested in the characters than the plot, so having the ending that this book did felt off in a way.
