‘Apart, we were our own worst enemy, but together? We’re explosive. An unbeatable team.’
Shantel Tessier is the reason I question if I need therapy now because these books are so addictive.
This was pure smut, taboo/toxic romance, thriller vibes, with very dark moments. It was a very easy read, super fast paced.
I do wish that the plot was a bit better and maybe the book to have had been a bit longer so that the ending wasn’t so…I guess suddenly done? I don’t know how to explain it.
I do however really enjoy how it went straight into it at the beginning (with a spicy scene no less). I feel like it was very easy to catch on to everyone’s roll in the story.
I do recommend this for dark/thriller romance readers, please check TWs and CWs as it is very descriptive in triggering topics! 18+
Happy reading 🤍

This is in the same world as it both none of the characters, that I remember, are in this book.
This is very short and I will say this is definitely a lot of porn and a sprinkle of plot.
Another thing I’m beginning to realise, is the roughness kink where you are hitting your partner or slapping them. Carving things into them is just not my thing.
Oh that’s really heavy in this very short book. It took me out a lot to the point where I didn’t get any enjoyment from a lot of the scenes.
But I will say that I’m glad that Colton and Raylee their HEA in the end!

I quite like how the fact that it explores how the sexual interests of the characters does not define them as a person and if there is consent It's completely acceptable to do whatever u want. What makes me not like this book is basically everything else.
Spoiler
what they did to Nate was just awful to begin with and then what Nate did was even worse. I don't like the ending, how they deal with the events after Nate kidnapped Raylee. I don't like that Colt CARVED his name in Raylee without even warning her. The list goes on...But in conclusion it's not the worst but honestly couldn't quite enjoy it.
