Love conquers all

When faced with the choice to follow your heart and live in the moment or rely on fear we learn that love conquers all. I for one was excited that Renee found her voice and chose to love again. I was happy to see Lorenzo grow and to trust people and their word. It was a beautiful story that showed love really does conquer all.

I didn't like this as much as the first one in the series... there were some great parts (like Zo threatening her ex.... HILARIOUS) but there was also jealousy and lack of communication and multiple quick fights at the end. I hate to say it but maybe it'd have been better if they hadn't each forgave right away?

Amazing

This book was perfect. Loved how everything flowed. It went through the motions of heartbreak and falling in love again. It was absolutely loving that Renee gave birth. She deserved her happy ending.

Renee and Lorenzo's story was my favorite out of the Strickland Sisters series. Renee leaves her cheating husband and meets Lorenzo. The only problem is, her husband doesn't want to let go. She doesn't want to start anything with Lorenzo until she is officially divorced. Lorenzo is doing everything he can to win Renee over, however he has his own baggage and secrets.

The chemistry between the two was strong and steamy and the narration was good.

Great read

This book was so good. I like Angela and Ryan’s story but I loved Renee and Lorenzo's story. I’m so glad Renee got her happy ending and I’m so glad that damn no good husband of hers got what was coming to his trifflin ass. I love how Alexandria House makes all the women in her story strong black women with their own careers but not to strong to accept a good man.
