So since I listened to this on audiobook it had the prequel as well and that was so spicy I was blushing. And I know a lot of people find it cringey but let me just say that I don’t read these kinds of books for them to not have a couple little cringey spots here and there. And there were only a couple in my opinion which for a 100 page novella and 756 page book isn’t too bad. I liked this book and towards the end I did tear up a little but it’s a longgggg one and part of a series that get that it didn’t necessarily need to be as long as it is. If you like why choose and hockey romance I think you will enjoy this book a lot!

I have complicated feelings for this book. The ending had me thinking this is going to be great. But I had to push through this book because Jake was so annoying and whiney. Mars was all caveman like “me only say few words”. Caleb kept me sane. And man there’s a lot of bodily fluids in this book. I hated most of this book. However… the ending was so cute and I love that for them. 2.5 stars

3.5⭐️ A 24 hour audiobook for a smutty romance is a commitment and while I was entertained, this book could have been way shorter. I was very into the beginning of the book and loved the doctor/ hockey player set up. When a second guy was added to the mix, the plot was feeling very Sierra Simone. However, when the a third boy was added to the mix, the love story just became too much. A lot of repetitiveness in the writing.
What to expect:
-hockey romance
-why choose (3 boys, 1 girl)
-queer reads
-workplace

I only finished 50% of this book. There is nothing inherently wrong with the book itself; the writing is actually really good and I think that's what kept me reading as long as I did. I just think it's not to my taste. I'm not a prude at all but the constant sex was just not my kind of romance novel. But it just means the book wasn't meant for me, personally. I did not want to give this book low stars simply because it wasn't my taste. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it. As a fellow writer though, I'm not gonna tank ratings because it's not my kind of book so hence the four stars. But I have no desire to keep going and read it. 50% was a fair shot haha but this book is absolutely not meant for me

I never expected this review to gain so much attention or feedback. If my opinion bothers you, I apologize. That was never my intentions and I’m not out to attack this author. I loved and adored That One Night, by the same author. I thought this platform was for us to express our feelings and thoughts on books. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t make them wrong. That’s the beauty of a book. It also doesn’t mean they don’t like a whole trope because they don’t like one book that’s in that trope. Not a single book currently written does everyone agree on. I appreciate others difference in opinion and sometimes I learn something from it.
