Oof. This book was so bad. I ended up hate reading it from about 1/4 in.

The premise was interesting and I was drawn in by the claims of representing a poly relationship and being queer-and-kink-friendly. None of those things are true. It's written more like erotica-Mary Sue wish fulfillment fanfiction than any kind of thoughtful story.

I'll be honest, I didn't come in with high expectations, the title says it all. However, I was expecting slightly better than this absolute mess. The relationships are all Insta-love and feel forced. The "kink-friendly" claim is upsetting given it portrays terrible kink practices including a lack of safe words and informed consent. Very irresponsible given the amount of mis and disinformation already out there. The poly aspect is incredibly forced especially with one character (it's giving lack of consent ick). The one queer relationship read more like two straight bros complete with a very 'no homo' attitude from one in particular
Compton can't be into any other man but Sanford, he's a 'special' case

Add on unrealistic sex, horrifically unethical practice by a medical professional, unchecked workplace sexual harrassment, domestic violence red flags, a disabled character whose disability is completely forgotten/ignored until it's used as a plot device, and cringy turns of phrase and love confessions and I just can't recommend this to anyone. Stay away, there's so many better stories.

i won’t lie, i’ve been jumping back and forth beween ratings, but i think i’ve settled. yes it is more smut than plot, but i need the break after bawling my eyes out from BoT (even tho i’m still not done yet). but i flew through this like real bad. had the literal time of my life reading this lmaooo. could it have been shorter? yes. do i really care atp? nah not really. boy did i have a time, i read this at literally every possible convenience lmaooooo

rachel, i honestly don’t know how i feel about her. like i see where she’s coming from with not wanting to be in the spotlight because she’s been in it all her life, but at the same time, it’s like, girl, not everything is about you… but then the fact that she’s like 5’0…. um 🧍🏽‍♀️ chile anyways so, but she was okay, not my favorite fmc

jake, he’s definitely my favorite mc in this book (and maybe i’m biased for a few reasons but myb) he’s such a golden retriever, and honestly, i didn’t find him as annoying as i thought i was going to. his jealousy needed some work, like chill out, but other than that, oh i loved himmm

caleb, where do i start? my assumptions about him from the first few chapters diminished almost immediately. based on how jake was in the prequel, i did not think caleb was going to top him (no pun intended) but whewww chileeee 🌚

and ilmari, i won’t lie, it took some time for me to actually like him fr bc he just seemed a little random in the group, but you know what, let’s just say that all my assumptions just flew out the window with this one.

Started out great with "That One Night" or whatever it was called. Then fizzled. Didn't need to be as long as it was. The FMC was weak. I was so excited. A woman in a male dominated career had to have some backbone. She really didn't have much of one and her personality... nonexistent. Guy 1 super needy. Guy 2 aloof. Guy 3 was the best IMO, but don't come at me with that ginormous sounding part. The book is maybe 10% plot, 90% smut. Do with it what you will.

Okey so I have a lot to say about this book.
After reading my first adult romance book I wanted to tip in the more smutty area of books and try how I would like that. I heard about a lot of different books and I was just never feeling the way that that would be an actual good book with an actual good writing style.
This was the first book I thought might actually good....boy was I wrong.
The writing style feels like you are reading a fanfic and it's really repetitive, cringey and doesn't make much sense, but I was ready to overlook that and at the beginning it was looking good.
The plot with Rachel getting the Doctor thing and all was actually interesting and I wanted to see where that would go and it actually made sense. Her relationship with Jake (I have read the novella) was fine enough. I was okey to overlook of the whole "You are mine" stuff I really dislike.
I was even positive cuz this book actually mentioned consent and I was hoping this would just be a lil cringey smut to enjoy.
But this has so much misogyny, sexism, homophobia sprinkled in there. Rachel is the typical 'I'm not like other girls' and she is 'one of the boys' until a certain point I just couldn't stand it.
She was so unbearable, honestly all of them were...
The only one I liked kinda was Mars but idk if with further reading that would've changed but I just couldn't pull through anymore. It got to a point where I didn't even enjoy the smut of this anymore.
I also heard that with the journey of Jake and Caleb there comes even more homophobia and I dont think I could've beared that, so I decided to stop.
I dont know what else to say. I actually could say a lot more....
This is a bad wattpad smut story nobody should need to pay for.
The quality is not existent and i can not believe that this book which badically is nothing but bad porn was actually TRADITIONALLY PUBLISHED
The end
...
I hate this book
