Better, but not
I wouldn't call this dark by any means, maybe on a YA scale? Taboo, yes. Dark, not even close. I also read a lot of dark romances, but this falls flat which sucks because it has the potential of being great. I caught myself skimming when I realized the FMC was weak. Loathe weak FMCs.

Rylee is unhappy and struggling, doing anything she can to be happy and find freedom.
Asher, Zayn and Blake are assholes in the best way. And who doesn’t love a good game of truth or dare? Can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.
I’m unsure on how I feel about this series. I loved and hated it. It was a fun read and something different. I’m annoyed that I started before it was complete and now I have to wait till April for the third book.

Rylee has run and in hopes of never returning but unexpectedly called back home hoping to not run into the Taylor brothers. Asher was determined to explain things I love Rylee's character and her do n't-give-a-damn attitude I feel for her though and the pain she holds on to. loved her and Zayn's interactions. I want to see more of blake. I love this series and I can't wait for book 3 this was another 5* written book by Steph.

Rylee is like the hot mess express. Trouble follows her wherever she goes. Some of that trouble is in the form of her 3 stepbrothers, hot and sexy as they are. She has some fun sexy times with them. The cliffhanger….let’s just say I will be not so patiently awaiting book 3!

Well that was a ride and a half.
Rylee got out of town, she had some separation and the semblance of a new life but she gets called back to town and everything starts to spiral.
Oh man that ending, I can wait for book 3.

Man, oh man!! I love this series! I didn't want to put this one down. I was just waiting for Asher or Zayn to show up and take her back home, but they were giving her the space she needed. I loved seeing Rylee thrive on her own!
I love that they're all wanting to protect her, even if she doesn't want it or need it. There's trouble following her. She doesn't actively seek it out, but there's some out there that think she needs to be put in her place. I did shout out loud over a victory outside of the post office, but then I felt like I was screaming at Blake to GET IT TOGETHER, MAN!
The end of this one we see Rylee really vulnerable. It's a bit heartbreaking with what she's been through in the past. I need Recklessly Damaged!!
