This book is just as incredible as the first. I can't get enough of this series! It's interesting, well-written, has enough pop-culture references to make it "real". My only question is...how will it end? With all that has happened since the FAYZ came into being, I just don't think this will have a happy ending. *bites nails*
There is some great writing in these books. Subtle things that I love like when the author puts to words actions that we do like scratching our foreheads and such. Simple, but I like it.
I'm a little antsy about this gaiphage business, but I'll wait and see how it goes.

Kur ir sešu zvaigžņu iespēja?! Atliek tikai ieraut vēl vienu kafiju un sākt lasīt internetā novilkto trešo daļu.

A friend of mine recommended this series to me. The first book, Gone, had me hooked from the beginning, so I had check the next one out to find out what happened next. Unfortunately, this was a slow read for me, partly due to being busy, but partly because of the fact that nothing particularly good was happening. I have no interest in reading something that makes me depressed! However, I pushed through until the end, when some action finally started happening, and I regained interest in the series. What awful thing is going to happen next?

I liked it, not as much as Gone, but it was still sort of awesome. I really liked the ending. But the ending was also sort of lame.

The villain characters save this series for me...I am not compelled by Sam or Astrid (especially not Astrid). Caine and Diana however? They're great. It's kind of sad, though, when you find yourself rooting for the villains to win. Maybe I'm a bad person, but they're just far better characters.

Rereading this series gives me an opportunity to appreciate things I didn't notice when I was younger. Not only is the world incredibly complex, but all of the conflicts and issues are realistic for kids and teenagers to be dealing with. All of the characters are young, and as such, they say and do problematic things. None of them are perfect. And seeing the story from each characters' POV makes for such an interesting book. I devoured this book and was reminded of why it's one of my favorites from this series (the other favorite is Plague).
