I read this story and novel form whenever I was nine or 10 years old, at my grandmother’s house. I didn’t really understand it then, though I thought it was funny. Rereading it as an adult, I understood so much more of them dialogue, and it was hilarious. Shaw’s comedic timing is impeccable. you have to love Higgins as a character, because he’s so enjoyable to read. And you have to love Eliza because she’s a magnificent character, with extraordinary dignity and resilience. I especially liked the ending, and the explanation as to the thought process of the characters.

I was surprised with this one. I had such fun reading it. I laughed out loud. George Bernard Shaw has good comedic timing. The characters were easily likeable. I’ll definitely have to watch the play soon.

Very witty play but I feel like the ending was left too open!

I listened to the LA Theater Works recording of the "My Fair Lady" play. It was a delight, and hearing the audience's reactions was a nice addition. In an effort to expand my reading of the classics, I've been listening to a few plays every year. While I do not like reading plays, I really enjoy listening to them.
