Another winning Women's Murder Club Edition!

When the going gets tough; The tough calls on her girls. Lindsey is in for the fight of her life after and error in judgement leads to 4 people shot and two of them dead.

Lindsey will need the power of her team to get through this because her life depended on it.

Another great story in this series. Very Lindsey focused, little appearances of the other women. Also we got to see a lot more of Lindsey's likes, which is weird cause it is book 4...

I really enjoyed this book! Quick read, true James Patterson fashion. I thought the ending was going to be predictable but it actually was a surprise. Looking forward to the next one in the series!

Audio Rating: 3.00 (not part of the overall rating)

First Thought When Finished: I love the new member of the team but the story was a little all over the place!

Speed Date Review:

First Date: 4th of July started with a bang! We hit it off right from the beginning with a fast and furious pace. It worked so well until we got drug to court. At that point, our mutual love fest hit a snag!

Second Date: We got a new member to the Murder Club! She is a perfect fit into this crafty group of women. It is too bad that her part was highlighted with a bit of drama that I think was overdone. I did love her closing statement though. There was just to much going on between the court drama and the secondary case that Lindsey is involved with. Something had to give and unfortunately that was rushed storytelling and over the top dramatics.

Third Date: The secondary case comes to a fast and furious end. There were some twists and turns that hooked me back into the story the last few chapters. With this my love affair is reignited and I am reminded of why I fell in love with the first place. The Murder Club and I will be spending time together in the future. I need to know more about them!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated by Carolyn McCormick

These are relatively quick listens. Carolyn does an excellent job with voices, pacing, and emotion. I really enjoy her narration. However, the sound effects are HORRID and way overdone. Many times the distracting music tracks pulled me out of the story. In some cases, it even drowned out the narrator. I just was not a fan! I keep sticking with the audio hoping that these will eventually go away. We will see!

Relationship Status: Still Dating!

another page turning potato chip. I know that while quick and enjoyable there isn't any real character development, and even though it's the 4th in the series we still don't know much about the main character of Lindsay Boxer. But I can't stop. the mystery of the murders, the apprehending of the murderers, and who the murderers wind up being is too much for me to turn away from. So while I know reading all of these isn't the most intellectual of pursuits, like a bag of lays original potato chips I can't stop after just one.

I would like to start off by saying long-distance girlies are our soldiers in the field, cause they really are stronger than the rest. Which brings me to say that this back and forth between Lindsay and Joe was designed for God’s strongest soldiers, plus the story really was different from other three, seeing as the either almost went without the help of the WMC, and I know that was mostly because Jil was murdered  in Book 3, which meant bringing a new lawyer type of fill in her role without acknowledging the fact that we as readers felt her death would have been writer’s suicide, so thank you  Mr James Patterson, for noticing the plight of the readers and taking a break with the WMC. That said I love Yuki Castelleano, and I have truly been waiting for the introduction of another woman of colour. I loved this story, I recommend it completely, Stunning 😍 🤩
