This was the sweetest in the series. Smoke is just the kind of man we all need..... gorgeous, a little cocky with a heart of gold. I wanted to shake Riley a time or four, but she grew on me and I realized she was a really good match for this sexy biker.

Solid 4 stars

I don’t know if there’s ever been a Gemma Weir book I didn’t enjoy.

This one leaves me feeling somewhat conflicted. I loved Riley. I loved Smoke. Seeing an arrogant self-absorbed man knocked down a few notches always makes me happy.
I didn’t understand the point of mentioning adoption. As an adoptee, it always rubs me the wrong way when it’s sunshine and roses and on DNA doesn’t matter. Cuz that isn’t true at all. I kept waiting for some big reveal or drama or relevance, but that didn’t happen.

The same with Dan. What was the point of him?I don’t know cuz it never went anywhere. Maybe he existed to show Riley he wasn’t what she wanted, but still.

Definitely an MC Light story but that didn’t bother me. If you’re looking for the regular MC drama and violence, it’s not here. However, if you love a light hearted story with a smidge of angst and mind waiting until 60% for the

This is the first book that I have read in this series and by this writer. Wow what a book. I absolutely loved this storyline. First off I love books about bikers. But this was so much more than that . It was about family love and coming together. Smoke doesn't know how to about Riley. Riley likes him but feels like she shouldn't. But hold on because the sex is amazing. But is there more between them than just that? Can Smoke prove he is a good guy? Will Riley give him and Texas a chance? Well written gripping enjoyable from beginning to end. I can't wait to read the others in this series.

I was waiting for Smoke's book as he makes so many appearances in the other books from the series.
I love every single word of this story. From the writing that kept me glued to my kindle from the first page till the last one, to the great characters and names and day jobs and all their different stories but such a perfect match.
I loved the slow burn, their banter, their insecurities and every single moment spent together. The perfect love story for my favourite character.

Needing a break from her current situation, Riley takes a job in Texas and decides to look up her old friend Rosie. Rosie is with a member of the Doomsday Sinner MC and invited Riley to stay with them on the weekends. Riley meets Smoke and decides he is exactly like the men she needs to stay away from, they are flirts and rotate women like their underwear and she is not falling into that trap again.

Smoke thought Riley was stunning from the moment he met her, but for some reason she hates him. They get thrown together quite a bit but it always ends with Riley extending her claws and Smoke is not certain he will ever get her to change her mind. The problem is Riley really does want to give him a chance and when she finally does she realizes how wrong she was about him. What happens though when Riley's contract is up? Will she stay or let Smoke go?

This one I liked but felt Riley was a bit wishy washy with her feelings. I also was perplexed by the job she had in this one, I felt like something was missing there. That being said overall the story was really good. I liked Smoke a lot. Great story another good one in the series.

Riley Prince’s life is about to change and she doesn’t know the half of it. Justin “Smoke” Sanchez knows what he’s got and uses it to get what he wants. She’s a geek and he belongs to an MC. I was thankful that this book was a standalone since I’m late to the game of getting to know the Doomsday Sinners MC.

Our author has created a minor character named Al. He’s a very sweet man who Riley takes to almost immediately. She feels comfortable around him and bucks protocol because there’s just something about Riley. The only puzzle I had was Al’s boss. You get a feeling something’s there and you know he’s important to the story. Then all of a sudden his association with Riley stops. I felt that part was rushed so that the story could continue on. Plus, I was hoping that Al’s association with Riley would continue – he was never a romantic interest but he seemed like a good friend to her.

I liked watching the heat build between our couple. I also liked how feisty Riley was and that she wasn’t impressed with Smoke’s swagger. He lives in the same town as Riley’s friend whose boyfriend happens to be in the same MC. When we first meet Park and Rosie, I found myself with no choice but to put their story in my TBR list. And that means the rest of the series will follow. This book isn’t like a lot of MC stories that show the blood and violence that seems to follow that type of group. But they’re not all squeaky clean either.

By some of his action, and the supporting cast, you know this is an MC but that isn’t the main focus of the story. It’s more to show what makes Justin Smoke. We see enough of Riley’s job to see what makes her qualify as a geek. We also get to see how important her family is to her. I liked how our author makes the change from mild tolerance to something more seem so natural and believable. Who says that the geek can’t have a hottie?

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
