Not a fan. This book have a immature characters, non existing plot/ layer. The story is dry. Chemistry between characters also dry. No character development.

I managed to finish listening to the audio book.

I simply adored Ellie and Walker’s story!! I quite honestly kept putting my kindle down so I could make the book last longer! LOL Poor Ellie has been burned-twice. After a chance meeting with the swoony hero Walker...she’s now officially living in his town...This book is so much more than a simple romance. It’s learning to trust. To belong. Family. And a baby calf LOL If you’re reading this...one click this book. You will not regret it!

All I Need is the newest gem by one of my favorite authors, Jennifer Van Wyk. She knows how to write sexy heroes, strong leading ladies, friendships and family. If you know me then you know how much I love and cherish James. So, imagine my shock when I met Walker and he started to fight James in my head and heart for my favorite Van Wyk Man. Walker is just so…everything. He's smart, funny, silly, sexy, just a tad alpha and honest. He's old enough to know who he is, what he wants and how to make it happen. He's also not afraid to show his emotions, share his feelings and put himself out there. He's Uncle of the Year, a fantastic brother and a great friend. He's also a vet so that ups his sexiness points. Ha! Walker and Ellie meet under hilarious circumstances. She's just run from her wedding and he stops to help her. Turns out she does actually need help and he's just the man to deliver it to her. She's obviously in no way ready for another man, but Walker can't seem to convince his body or his heart of that. He can't stop thinking about her. Picturing his hands on her. So what does he do? Hires her of course. What can possibly go wrong? Ellie has been burned twice. And now she's sworn off men and relationships. So why can't she stop thinking of Walker and his sexiness? I mean, the body, the hair. The man in scrubs is something from heaven. But now he's her boss and she's just trying to find herself again. Maybe she can find herself all over or under Walker? As Walker and Ellie's relationship grows, she seems to blossom. She's laughing again. Having fun. Lusting after an incredible man. When Walker takes a chance and promises to show her how to trust again, Ellie can't say no. And why would she. Walker is different. He makes her feel different. When Ellie's past comes back to haunt her will she keep running or stay and fight for love? I loved this story! So. Much. Seriously, Walker is perfection. Yes, he's sexy, but his words are just as sexy as he is. He's sincere. He's real. Ellie is strong and funny! Her inner thoughts are so hilarious I was laughing out loud. Overall, I laughed, cried, swooned and smiled a lot. I also screamed once and you will too! I also loved seeing the ladies again and of course, Andy. Oh, be still my heart! Can't wait to see what Jennifer comes up with next!

I really enjoyed this book - Walker and Ellie are just meant to be. Life literally took a turn for the worst, and ended up being the best for them both. Miss Polly stole the show!

All I Need left me in such a feel good mood. I couldn't stop the smiles from forming on my face. It had me laughing and swooning so hard. It also had that emotional aspect in which tugged at my heartstrings. Oh, and that twist? I definitely did not see coming. I was all around surprised, that's for sure. And Ellie and Walker? Yeah, I couldn't get enough of them.

Ellie has been through a lot. At a young age she's been alone. With parents that never paid attention to her, and basically raising herself. You can see that it's difficult for her to show emotion or trust people. And that's why with her fiancé knowing what she's been through she can't believe that he'd hurt her the way he did. It's taken her years to recover from the betrayal at the hands of her ex-fiancé. And now, as she's ready to marry her current fiancé he betrays her just the same, if not worse. She's angry, but more so with herself for believing and trusting it would be different this time. If there's one thing Ellie knows for sure is she won't trust that easily again, or better yet, not trust at all.

Walker, oh boy he's something else. He's charming, charismatic, loving, and caring, he's just every good thing. Annnnnd he's a veterinarian, this hunk of a man caring for animals, I mean come on, swoon for days. He's such a good man, and the way he cares and is always there for his nephew is everything. He has so much to offer, and that's why when he sees a fiery woman about to go ballistic on the side of a road he offers his help. And from that point on, the rest is history. It's only a matter of time before he wants to give her everything.

Ahhhhhh! Ellie and Walker just brought ALL the giddiness in me. These two were every-freakin-thing! They had undeniable chemistry. They had witty banter. They were just so good together. I loved how Walker was patient with Ellie after everything she'd been through. He wanted to gain her trust more than anything. Ellie was meant to be on the side of the road at that particular moment Walker was driving by. These two were just meant to be.

All in all, All I Need was an enjoyable read all around.

I would have to say that this book was more than just your contemporary romance novel about two people who fall in love. It was certainly more of a women's fiction novel about overcoming hardship and heartache.

Ellie, the sweet and sensitive main character, has had her fair share of traumatic relationships. Which stem from her broken and damaging experience with her own parents. She manages to be engaged TWICE in her young life and both engagements ending very sourly.

She finally let's everything go after the second engagement debacle and finds herself on the side of the road in a small town where she meets Walker.

Walker is genuinely kind and cares about everyone around him. Always making sure they're taken care of before he is. He treats Ellie no differently than anyone else, other than he's completely blown away by her.

Their attraction and borderline slow burn romance builds up nicely to a satisfying conclusion. Between Walker, who hasn't given the time of day to any woman in his life, and Ellie, who is afraid of opening her heart again, they have amazing chemistry and bring a small town experience to a grinding end... ;)

This was a quick, cute story about how some women manage to look gorgeous on their worst day and how I am jealous. No man has ever tried to pick me up while I’m having a mental breakdown and trying to destroy a car with golf clubs. Just saying.

So this isn’t the main point at all but I really appreciate that the heroine’s infertility wasn’t magically solved by the hero.

Walker is a hunka hunka burning love! Ellie is the gal you want to go drink margs with. But Miss Polly - well Miss Polly makes you want to move right into her house and also will make you choke on your drink because you never know what is coming out of her mouth! LOVE ME SOME MISS POLLY!!

And then Grayson. I love when an author can write a truly realistic teenage boy! Props for that.

I've read JVW's other books, and didn't even realize at first this was part of that series. Could definitely be a standalone, but the appearances by faves from past books just made it all the better.

The journey may be tough. The road may be bumpy. You may get lost along the way. But the trip is always worth it in the end when you find your home!

When love hits you at the most unexpected time. You hear that a lot. But in Ellie’s case, that is so the truth. After being burned twice essentially the same way, she gets away and finds the most unexpected man who helps her and shows her to this most unexpected lady, and as it progresses, they heal her in such a beautiful way. Walker is your perfect book boyfriend. He is so swoon worthy that you cannot help but love him right out the gate. These two just meld together like butter on toast. It was beautiful watching these two find their footing. Then you add the smart arse Grayson. Walker’s nephew was a hoot as he poked the stick at his uncle. Then there was that totally unexpected twist that made me go WTF did I just read?!?!?! Did that really happen?
Overall, this was a stunning book of love at first sight even though Ellie fought it at first. But their chemistry was off the charts beautiful. I adored the concept and the banter in this book as it was fluid and kept you on your toes. I am a huge fan of this author now and I highly recommend this book or any of her past ones!
