Having recently been on a Rachel Gibson binge I would rank her as one of my top authors. When I need a light-hearted, funny and developed romance I "Run To Her" Holds for laughter however Run To You definitely wasn't up to standard.

I felt like we never really got to know the characters, that there was always a distance between them and the reader. We were told their individual histories but I felt that there was a lack of depth and development about the whole thing. Maybe it was because the whole book only covered a space of about 8 days, maybe it was that the concentration seemed to be on their physical relationship as opposed to their emotional one...? I can't put my finger on it, all I know is that I came away feeling dissatisfied with the whole thing...

Terribly written book. Maybe the worst book I’ve ever read. If you cut out all the times they repeated the same exact phrase you’d have at least 20 less pages. The smutty stuff was good I guess but not worth struggling through no plot and predictable characters.

Reading a book written by one of your favorite authors feels like sitting in your recliner chair after a long work day. You say: ah, at last, a good book! Then you sit and enjoy. This is what reading a book by Rachel Gibson feels like to me. This has not been one of the best books I've read by RG, but I loved Stella and Beau, loved reading about Sadie and Vince, and look forward to reading about Blake. I really hope the next book has more flashbang!

This probably needed to be a bit longer. I would've liked to have seen the characters develop and interact more.

Sometimes you have to get through he first few chapters before you fall into Rachel's books, not that they are bad chapters, just sometimes it takes a moment. This one the prologue was kind eh but WOW from chapter one I was laughing and enjoying the characters immensely! I want more of their lives, I want to read more about boots and Beau! I can't wait to see who we get to read about next in Lovett.

I've been a fan of Rachel Gibson for a while now and really enjoy her books. This is the second book in her new series set in Lovett, Texas. It's a fun read and a really cute story. The chemistry between the straight-laced Marine, Beau and the free-spirited Stella is great from the start but I really like the complicated relationships that both have with there siblings. They seemed very real. If you are a fan of Rachel Gibson, make sure you check this book out.

Meh, What a disappointment. I did not believe these two where really together at in point in the book. The story was cheesy and the virginal "I'm saving myself for marriage." was just a waste of words. This couple threw that vow ou and got down on their knees super fast. It was cheesy, alien cheesy. This couple were way out there beyond a realm of a reality I could believe in. is it possible that I fell asleep or into a wormhole while munching on my cheese and crackers ? When did all this love connection happen ? They were at a drag bar, blink, they were traveling cross country, blink they were visiting each others forbidden sections, blink they where engaged. (did you picture angel statues there ? ) 8 days, that was eight days, had to be the wormhole effect.

Negative Nancy here has another nasty thing to gripe about- the narrator; did the publisher listen to her do a male voice ? These macho GI Joe types guys sounded like they had the mumps and a bad case of constipation. It was terrible if you don't get my in your face meaning !

Such a fun read!

Gibson’s a favorite of mine, so whenever I’m in the mood for great contemporary romance, she’s one of my go to’s for a guaranteed good read! RUN TO YOU did not disappoint, with a sexy take charge, no nonsense ex-Marine hero sent to retrieve his friend’s fiancé’s long lost sister and a heroine with strength to hold her pen and face her fears. The ending felt a bit rushed to me, but that didn’t take away from the feel good vibes I got from seeing Beau and Stella fall in love!

this was decent, but I felt the story needed to be a bit more developed. the relationship between beau and Stella wasn't completely believable.

I am a HUGE fan of Rachel Gibson. In fact, she’s one of the authors that made me fall in love not just with contemporary romance but romance novels in general. I’ve gobbled up everything she’s had available and she’s on my Automatic Buy list for all new titles. I’ll admit, some of the more recent haven’t captured the magic of some of her early books but because I adore her style of writing, I will continue to buy no matter what. Her latest, Run to You, was a great read because it had of lot of what I love about Ms. Gibson. Stella has been scraping by working as a waitress in a bar in Miami but when her half-sister sends a friend to try and contact her, Stella’s job prospects diminish because she’s now on the run. Beau thought he was doing a quick favor for a friend, contacting Stella and getting her on her way to her sister’s ranch in Texas. But misfortune seems to favor this trip and soon Stella and Beau are on the road together. I loved that even these two had such contrasting personalities, Beau’s strict military bearing and Stella’s day by day approach, that the attraction burned strong. I really enjoyed the banter between them and thought that their development in to a steamy relationship was very natural. There was some great emotion to Stella’s background and enjoyed following her through her personal doubts and her growth. Another great read from Ms. Gibson and am really looking forward to seeing more from Beau’s twin brother.
