3.25 stars. This is more of erotica than romance.
I will say that their romantic time together is beautiful. i loved how vulnerable they were with each other and figured themselves out.

The premise was not so original and the plot lacked the tension. Sistr's twin fucking sister's best friend who he has been in love with for a long time. From their work lives to their friendships, it was all so boring. The stake that was supposed to be high, the conclusion of it was so anticlimactic.

the sex was a lot which is why the rest of their lives were not as fleshed out and I definitely learned something new. Lol.

I found the writing repetitive at times because they'd keep having the same conversations or sth in Oak's pov would be said in Cam's pov too and it made the book a chore to get through. Also words like Alpha were used and since I have associated the word with Andrew Tate, I couldn't keep a straight face when i read that.

The Bachelor is the 5th and final installment in the Dalton Family Series by Marni Mann. It follows Camden falling for his twin sister’s best friend, Oaklynn.

This was my first introduction to Marni Mann’s books and I was hooked right off the bat! Camden is a gruff, grumpy lawyer. Oaklynn is a ray of sunshine embodied. I loved their playful dynamic.

Oaklynn finds herself still a virgin and presents Camden with a proposition - that he take her virginity if she’s still a virgin after one year. Camden hastily agrees and finds himself tangled up in his feelings for Oaklynn.

I received an ARC of the audiobook for this novel and I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two narrators. Sometimes I find spicy audiobooks hard to get through if the narrators aren’t right. I devoured this book in less than a day. Thank you to Marni Mann and the publishers for this ARC.

Oaklyn has a great life, a successful career and wonderful friends. Her only problem is she’s a 25 year old virgin. One night she makes a deal with her best friends twin, Camden. If in a year Oaklyn is still a virgin Camden will teach her everything she needs to know about how to please a man and he will take her virginity.
As a self proclaimed bachelor and a player Camden has his concerns about teaching Oaklyn what she needs to know but he can’t help the want for her, the pull to her, but he made a promise to his sister that her friends were off limits, but this is one promise he can’t keep.
When lines are crossed, Camden has to realize that what he is feeling has always been there and he now has to deal with it.

I really liked this book, I didn’t read the others in the series and I didn’t feel like I was missing out.
As grumpy as Camden acts he is a big softie when it comes to Oakley. I’m liked both the MFC & MMC I felt they meshed well. I will read the others for sure.

★︎✰︎4.25 STARS ✰︎★︎

This last book in this seriously hot, alluring, sexy series of interconnected standalone’s features Camden and his twin sister’s best friend Oaklyn.
It’s the younger generation of the Dalton family heating up the pages in this sexy scorcher. (I think it’s best to read them in order, each book moves ahead in time. You get to “catch up” with the previous couples in the series in the following books.)
This series and this book embodies the lives of the beautiful, ambitious, wealthy, sexy and successful people.
It’s an escape into a very indulgent and lush lifestyle.
It’s well written, decadent erotica with great locales, sensual atmosphere and top notch dirty talk.
This book is a bit of a slow burn with a virgin heroine. She’s ready to explore her sexuality with her best friends brother.
It’s a fast, sensual and surprisingly sweet story.
I loved the sexy games these characters played, I loved their interactions with each other and the secondary characters.
I love that the pair have known each other since their preteen years, it makes their connection seem realistic. I love that they are a bit forbidden and have to be secretive. I love forbidden romance and the excitement and nervous butterflies that come with it.
It’s low angst and minimal drama, heavy on the heat and fun.
It was a proper goodbye to all the characters that have made this fantastic series. I really enjoyed this story and the series.
The tease/glimpse of two new series to come has me quite excited. I can’t wait for more of the glamorous life!
