This was a quick read for me. I literally opened it last night and haven’t really put it down since, sneaking a page or three whenever I could. A book hasn’t got me to feel like that in a minute, where I just HAVE to read the book and HAVE to find out what happens. I get so addicted to characters and their stories when I read sometimes. But that’s how you know you read a damn good book. That’s why I’m so very sad that I finished this book tonight. I got even sadder than I realized that there won’t be a second book. I just loved Charlotte and Reed’s relationship/friendship so much. I loved how the book wasn’t sex, sex, sex and more sex. There was actual love, tenderness, hilarity...I even cried a little bit. I give these authors and their amazing writing skills 1,000,000 5 stars.

This book!

Reed and Charlotte meet under false pretenses and their first meeting was one for the books to say the least! Talk about cringeworthy. Eventually Charlotte ends up working for Reed and he’s not pleased at all. Despite his disdain for Charlotte, he is attracted to her as well. This is where the book was tricky for me because Reed was such a jerk. Like he irritated me to no end with his hot and cold. Rudeness. And whole demonar. As time passes Reed becomes the man I was hoping he would be. He really redeemed himself for me in this book and I loved it!

Charlotte was a spitfire with a heart of gold. Even though life has dealt her a crap hand at times she’s still the “glass is full” kind of girl. Albeit a bit naive at times. Charlotte also did mature in this book and it made me happy. I loved her character so much and wanted nothing but the best for her!

As this story progresses the layers are peeled back, secret revelations are revealed and my jaw was dropping. I had to re read certain parts twice and at one point I dropped my kindle. As a long time reader of these authors, I knew the twist was coming but even I wasn’t ready for this! This book had my emotions all over the place as I read! This book has such an original plot and I loved how it made me think about my own life at times.

Ward and Keeland are my favorite writing duo. Hands down. Their writing was FLAWLESS in this story and everything just flowed. At times I forgot that it’s two people that wrote this book. I’ve read several books by these authors and this has become my top favorite from them. This story took me out of the dreaded book slump that I was facing. Thank you ladies and I can’t wait to see how you ladies out do yourself next!

This was a cute and quick read!! The characters had a fun dynamic and the plot moved well enough for me. I’d probably say more of a 3.5 than a 4 but alas, no half stars on goodreads.

Found it cute in the beginning and then it just got boring and improbable. I just wanted to get through the book and even if I had high expectations I tried to pull myself through it.

Loved it.

I wouldn’t say this is the best book I’ve ever read but I’m still giving it five stars because the story totally sucked me in. I loved it.

This was an easy and funny read, although, I did find myself getting bored towards the end. The story was ok but I didn't enjoy it as much as I would like.

From reading this story, I've come to realise that I don't enjoy large chuncks of dialogue. I'd prefer that it be broken up somehow. I also found the dialogue unnatural and awkward at times.

I really wanted to like this book. I’ve thought about this blurb ever since I added this book to my TBR 2 years ago. I hesitated because of the mixed reviews and now I know why..

Things I liked:
The f*ck-it list
Grandmother Iris

Things I didn’t like:
Charlotte - nosy, intrusive and overbearing.
The air-typing.. oh. My. God. The air-typing was cringe. I don’t know why people thought it was endearing.
Reed was uptight and pushed Charlotte away for 95% of the book. Made Charlotte seem like a stage five clinger.

Don’t go into this book thinking it’s a rom-com. It has heavy emotional themes and doesn’t necessarily have your typical HEA.

Hate Notes is a slow burn, enemies to lovers romance. I enjoyed it. The beginning was all fun and games. I giggled a lot. The book has heart and got into some more serious topics. It’s a great reminder to sometimes say F It and live your life to the fullest.
