There is an old house outside South Cove due to be torn down. It is been taken over by the city for non-payment of taxes and is being rented out for spooky "ghost" weekends to groups since it is supposed to be haunted. So Jill, Greg, Amy, Justin, Darla, Matt, Esmerelda and her friend Jake rent it for the weekend. They are going to try to contact the spirit. There are spooky things happening in the house and they ind stuff moved when they come back to a room. Most of them suspect a human agent, like the creepy caretaker, although Esmerelda doesn't agree. And they are curious as to what happened to Maryanne all those years ago when she disappeared.

Halloween theme short story audio. Not her best short story but I'm glad it's one from a favorite series with characters I love.

Novella in the series.

This was a short, fast, read that I enjoyed. I do like Jill and Greg and South Cove. The series is well-developed and well written. This is just a a quick pre-Halloween visit to South Cove as Jill and friends spend a weekend in a supposedly haunted house. Spooky happenings cause them to try to figure out the mysterious history of the house, about to be torn down.

I do like this series, and I highly recommend starting with the first book in the series. This short can be read as a stand alone, but why deny yourself the pleasure of the whole series?

This is a super short book. If you read the series you might find you enjoy it more. I hadn't.

I really enjoyed this Halloween story. For being a short story, it had a great storyline. This was my first time reading from this series. It made me want to start the series from the beginning. This one reads like a standalone.

Jill Gardner and her friends are spending Halloween in the local haunted house. Four couples, all ready to see a ghost. But, why is there a ghost there and could this be a mystery too old for Jill to solve?

I usually like this series (or any series by Lynn Cahoon) but this one just didn't come together for me. Too much plot packed into a short story made it hard to understand.

I enjoyed this book. It didn’t take long to read but that was because I kept wanting to read. I like the balance between the characters, especially Jill and Greg. Their differences are balanced with respect. I really enjoyed the mystery. I believe in haunts. I think we do leave imprints on places we lived or loved, especially if we experienced a lot of emotions there. My belief coupled with the author’s knowledge of Wicca made the story very interesting for me.
It is a clean cozy mystery. It is a good pick for late summer/fall reading. I think the YA crowd would enjoy it as much as older people.

Edited it to give a huge thank you to Goodreads and the author for the giveaway that I won this book from. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was a short quick novella in the Tourist Trap series.  In this one the friends from South Cove are celebrating Halloween in an abandoned house that maybe haunted. Together they set out to solve the disappearance of the woman who lived their.  It is a light ghost story and mystery. A Perfect read for Halloween
