First of all,let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Meghan Quinn.I love her writing. Her books are funny and let me tell you there were times when I was laughing so hard that I almost fell off my bed :)

But Hustler just didn't do it for me.I liked the plot and well the characters were good but for me there was something missing in this one.

I liked Penelope's character and how she worked very hard to achieve her dream and how she never gave up.I loved Page, that hilarious girl. GUHH,wish I had a friend like her in real life.
Scott was so sweet.

And Gavin Saint.......

Truth,I didn't like him very much.He was set out steal my heart but I don't know ............he just didn't.*sighs*

The moments which had me smiling the entire time I was reading were very much worth it though.

Nevertheless,I would to see some of the other characters from this book.

I feel kinda bad for not liking this one. I love Meghan Quinn's writing (I haven't read any thing by the other author)..so I was excited when I saw this one. Plus that guy on the cover.

But I hated the main character. Gavin is a poker hustler that is the world's greatest. (Of course he is.)

I've heard women compare me to some dude named Nick Bateman. Whoever the fuck that is. There was one girl in particular, who I brought home from the park that kept running her hands up and down my six pack, telling me how much I looked like him. It creeped me way the fuck out, but I made a mental note to look him up on the internet that night and I had to admit, the lucky bastard did look like me.

I know it's sorta one of the cool things in books right now for the guy to be a man-whore douche. But this chick ain't drinking the Kool-Aid. I didn't like him.

I did sorta like the female main character though. Penelope is a sassy waitress who just happens to get the "bad luck" of getting to serve the high rollers room now. (You do have to suspend your belief on how little she seems to be able to reign it in when her job is on the line.)
And now she also gets to battle the creeping hands of the high roller assholes.

She handles herself pretty well though..along with her most awesome best friend Page.
"Then you know what you have to do?" she responds seriously.
"What's that?"
"You're going to have to kill him. I have a roll of duct tape, rope, and black plastic bags in my room. We just need to get some shovels from the hardware store and we'll be all set.".

I freaking LOVE Page. And all of the friend characters. They totally stole the book for me. I kept reading just to see what all they were getting up to.

Now for the important part....how was the sex?
Palm Springs commercial photography

Kinda middle of the road. Lots of kinda hate sex because our girl is smart enough to not really like Gavin's snotty self.
Palm Springs commercial photography

She does manage to get him to not be a total ass after awhile...and more of this happens.

I fuck-dazzled you.
No book you didn't.

This book could go either way. You might join up on the not so much fangirl page like Kelly and I or you could read the book right and go with my friend Wendy ...we will try and not judge you either way... but we totally will.

¿Palabra con la que definiría al libro?
Odio.
Y...
Amor.

"¿No te preocupa morir solo?

"No.

♥️I love how Gavin can easily read people , and even Penelope who defies and always maintain her stubbornness. They both are so wrapped up around each other , have sex with each other and still find humor in every course of words...♥️

Gavin is the Best poker player and Penelope is just a cocktail waitress...but the moment Gavin saw her , its like you can assume this is the moment hero realizes he wants to bang the heroine , but here although Gavin wants to bang her , But More than that She is a tough nut to crack and a challenge to win (figuratively) , and overall , even though there were drama , it was realistic and reasonable , not your typical hero-caught-making-out-with-ow ... Or something involving a ow...

I think I'm in the minority with this book because...
I can't believe this was my first book of the year... omg... I hate both lead characters... she's a whiney childish twat and he's a tool with zero appealing (at least for me) just.... I'm gonna start over and forget about this book.

I loved this book. This is another of that books that was really addictive and I couldn’t stop reading it. This book was hilarious. I can’t even count how many times I laughed while reading this book. I really enjoyed this book and its characters and it was actually pretty different from what I was expecting. As I said before I really enjoyed all the characters in this book. Penelope was really feisty and sarcastic and I loved her. Gavin was really cocky, let’s be real, and at first it’s impossible to like him but it was really possible to see how much he changed after meeting Penelope and how much they helped each other. These two had an amazing chemistry and I started rooting for them pretty soon. Not only I loved the main characters but I also loved the side characters. I can’t stop thinking how hilarious Page, Penelope’s best friend and roommate, was. Every scene Page appeared I would laugh a lot. I really hope this ends up being a series because I need to know what happened between Page and Graham and I also want to know more about Scott and Davies. I need books about them because I already started loving these characters in this book.

I also really love the story and the Las Vegas and poker setting and let’s not forget one of my favorite things, the dual POV. I love a good dual POV and this was a good dual POV. I loved how distinct their voices were. Also, as I said before, this book was really addictive and had a fast-pacing so it was pretty easy to read it.

Overall, this was a really good read. I can’t wait to read more books written by Meghan Quinn and Jessica Prince and if the books are about the side characters from Hustler I would be even happier to read them. If you like new adult romance and cocky main characters you should give this one a try.
